Warrior Leveling Guide

In this segment, we’ll take a look at the Warrior class.

Warriors in the end-game are known for tanking (a.k.a. eating up all damage from mobs and raid/instance bosses). Because the Warrior’s strength and the ability to hold aggro from multiple mobs, leveling one can be fun.

It has an in-game arrow telling you where to go!

Let’s see the specs:

Fury Warrior Build

Fury Warriors refer to well duh, WARRIORS, who have spent a majority of talent points in the Fury tree. Simply put, this is the ideal tree to put your talent points in since leveling/grinding using the fury spec is overall, the fastest for a warrior.

Throw the Protection build out of the way when you’re leveling because Protection is used for tanking. It will not maximize your DPS output which is what you want as you go from level 11-70.

Just like the Shaman, a Warrior can use two weapons to hack mobs and opponents to death (dual wield).

So without further delaying, you should build your Fury Warrior like this (may not be ideal but you can start copying this build and modifying it to suit your own tastes):

Basically you go all the way to the 41 point talent, Rampage, and supplement the fury spec with some burst damage and rage generation talents from the Arms tree.

A lot of people do not bother using the other talents to level their Warrior as it is slow. Arms spec may provide a lot of burst damage but, as many players have noticed, isn’t as good enough as the Fury Spec. The Fury Spec allows the Warriors DPS to rival those of pure DPS classes such as the Warlock and the Mage.

Dual Wield or 2-Hand weapon

A lot of players ask whether to use dual wield weapons (one main hand and one off hand). In my opinion, both can do a lot of DPS. It’s up to your preference really. I do not have empirical data to support dual wield, but I like it the most. For me more hits, the better. That’s why it is also critical to get your +hit rating up.

Stats to focus on using a Fury Spec Warrior:

Further increase your DPS by improving the following character stats
+ hit rating
+ critical hit rating
+ attack power
