So I finally took the plunge and I digitally upgraded my account to Wrath of the Lich King. I still have 10 days of free play (from the Scroll of Resurrection my brother gave me) but with the looks of things, I think i’m going to continue playing.
From the initial get go here’s some of the things I like about WoTLK:
Achievements – An achievement popped up when I completed one of the quests in Northrend. It basically said that I’ve completed 1,000 quests since I started playing! Keeping track of these tiny little details really adds up to the game play experience. Now I want to do some city raiding to get my bear mount !!! It’s a pretty cool reward for the “For the Horde” achievement.
Calendar – You can schedule guild raids from here. World events are also listed in this nifty little feature that Blizzard put in the game.
New Quest Styles – I’ve just finished saving some kodo beasts from dying haha you have to mount on to them and release them in the camp. You get a new set of controls when you mount the kodos.
I still have a lot to discover in WoTLK…I haven’t even made my death knight yet…but since I’m really just going to do casual play. I want to maximize my time in leveling my main Shaman first before anything else.
I’ve also set up a Path of a Hero account to track my progress and gear. It seems to be a really nice social networking site for World of Warcraft players. Give it a try! Click here
Here’s a shot of me and Hellscream over at the Warsong base:

Me with Mr. Hellscream
I have an idea for a series of posts that I plan on doing. I think I can try to make a case for World of Warcraft if I can somehow link real life lessons to the game and vice versa.
Cheers!
